Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
Pawel Wolowitsch

Germany
Email: mail@wolowitsch.com

2. General information
The protection of your personal data is important to me. This website processes personal data only to the extent necessary for the technically secure provision of the website, the handling of enquiries, or compliance with legal obligations.
The website does not offer user accounts and does not process personal data for advertising or tracking purposes. No external analytics, advertising or profiling services are used.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This may include IP addresses and contact details in particular.
3. Hosting
This website and the associated email services are operated by the following provider:
STRATO GmbH
Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7
10249 Berlin
Germany
When you access the website, STRATO processes technically necessary connection data. This processing is used to provide the website securely, stably and without disruption, and to detect and prevent attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website.
Where STRATO processes personal data on my behalf, this is done under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Server log files
When you access the website, the web server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser. This may include in particular:
- IP address or anonymised client domain,
- date and time of access,
- requested page or file,
- amount of data transferred,
- referrer URL,
- browser type and version,
- operating system used,
- HTTP status code.
This data is required to deliver the website, detect technical errors and prevent attacks. I do not combine it with other personal data or use it to create individual user profiles.
According to STRATO, the IP address is stored for no more than seven days in order to detect and prevent attacks. Log files available in the STRATO customer area are retained for a maximum of six weeks; the IP address or hostname is anonymised in those files.
STRATO also provides aggregated graphical access statistics. These may include page views, data volumes transferred, referrers, browsers and client domains, and may remain available for a longer period. The statistics are used for a technical overview of website operation. According to STRATO they contain no individual user identifier, and I do not use them for advertising or personal profiling.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure provision, error analysis and technical monitoring of the website.
5. Cookies and local storage
The publicly accessible pages of this website do not currently set cookies.
No external tracking or analytics cookies and no advertising or profiling cookies are used. localStorage and IndexedDB are not used.
The website uses progressive navigation. The current scroll position is stored under the key progressiveNavigation in the corresponding browser history entry. Only the horizontal and vertical scroll coordinates are stored. This data remains in the browser, is not transmitted to me or to third parties, and is used solely to restore the scroll position when navigating back and forward. It is removed when the corresponding browsing history is discarded or deleted. Depending on browser settings, session history may be retained temporarily to restore a browsing session.
This storage is required for the navigation function requested by the user. It is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking.
A consent banner is therefore not currently required.
Separately, the non-public Kirby administration system uses a technically necessary session cookie for the login of authorised administrators. This cookie is not set during ordinary visits to the public website.
6. Project search
The project search submits the entered search term as the URL parameter q. The search term therefore becomes part of the requested URL and may appear in the browser history and in the server log files.
Processing takes place solely to perform the requested search. The term is not evaluated for advertising, tracking or profiling.
Please do not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information in the search field.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the provision of a functional project search. If the search term does not relate to a person, no personal data is processed.
7. Contact by email or telephone
If you contact me by email or telephone, I process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. This may include in particular:
- name,
- email address or telephone number,
- content and time of the message,
- technical metadata of the communication,
- any other information you provide voluntarily.
Email communication is handled via STRATO. STRATO processes the data required to transmit and store the messages.
If your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the proper handling and documentation of incoming enquiries.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions. Longer storage takes place only where legal retention obligations exist, the data is needed to assert or defend legal claims, or you have consented to further storage. Where a legal retention obligation applies, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
8. External links
This website may contain links to websites of other providers. If you follow such a link, you leave this website. The operator of the linked website is generally responsible for any processing of personal data there.
Please consult the privacy policy of the respective provider for information about the nature, scope and purpose of data processing on that website.
The mere display of an external link does not transmit data to the operator of the linked website. Transmission occurs only when you open the link.
9. Recipients of personal data
Personal data is transmitted to recipients only where this is necessary to provide the website, to handle your enquiry, or to comply with a legal obligation.
As a technical service provider, STRATO in particular may process personal data in the course of website and email hosting.
There is no disclosure for advertising purposes. Personal data is not sold.
10. Transfers to third countries
As currently implemented, this website does not embed external services that transmit personal data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area when a page is loaded.
External websites are accessed only when you actively select a corresponding link. The respective operator is responsible for any subsequent data transfer.
11. Encrypted transmission
This website is provided over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data transmitted between your browser and the web server is thereby protected against unauthorised reading during transmission.
Please note that ordinary email communication is not necessarily end-to-end encrypted. Do not send particularly confidential information unencrypted by email.
12. Your rights
Where the legal requirements are met, you have in particular the following rights:
- right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR,
- right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR,
- right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR,
- right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR,
- right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR,
- right to object pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR,
- right to withdraw consent with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR.
If processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. I will then no longer process the personal data concerned, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
You can exercise your rights by contacting mail@wolowitsch.com.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You may in particular contact the authority responsible for my place of business:
